I decided I needed a mobile phone. Checked out a few models within an estimated budget of Rs.10000-15000.

I went to the nearest Wavetel Mobile Showroom and tried to check out the mobiles which I had shortlisted. Suddenly, I felt they don't satisfy me. Just started to feel that making purchase decisions Just viewing things online will not hold good.

But, this time I was convinced that I needed a mobile phone and not going to move away like I did the last time I went to the store.

I didn't take much time though. The sales person was smart there, though I asked him to show 10 different mobiles within the budget she just showed me 3 phones telling that these were the ones which had all the features I expect from a mobile phone.

I was not convinced, but this time she had an even better technique which closed the deal. She pulled out a phone above my stipulated 15K budget and opened it up in front of me. And all she said was this is the best phone in the market to this day. There had already been 15 phones sold on the same day. And it was true, I was convinced and bought it.

It was my all new Sony Ericsson W705 which burnt my pocket by Rs.16500. I came out proud after the deal that I have a phone whose features are second to none. Whose display, pictures, videos, sound quality, memory, wifi connectivity and stereo sound effects a great attraction indeed.

What more I had been using it for almost eight months and happy with it. Even now I find the phone a good buy even with the latest in the market, except for 1 the Sony Ericsson W715. Looks similar with almost the same features but with an added GPS tracking system. Which I would have loved to have in my phone as well.

Hopefully there is a way to include it in my phone as well and if any of you reading this come across do keep me posted on how.

ManageEngine ADManager Plus Enhances Its Helpdesk Delegation Model to Support Complete Enterprise Management

Administrators can now use a single helpdesk technician to carry out multiple directory tasks across domains

AUSTIN, TX -- 12/07/09 -- ManageEngine, makers of a globally renowned suite of cost effective network, systems, security and applications management software solutions, today announced the latest release of ManageEngine ADManager Plus, a Windows Active Directory Management and Reporting Solution, which now supports complete enterprise-wide helpdesk delegation. The new enterprise-wide delegation feature allows administrators to extend management capabilities by assigning multiple, complex directory management tasks to a trusted group of helpdesk technicians.
Previously, administrators using ADManager Plus could delegate just one role-per-helpdesk technician across domains, which meant an administrator had to assign each task to a different individual helpdesk technician and that technician could then execute that one task across domains. But now, with the new delegation feature announced today, ADManager Plus allows helpdesk technicians to perform multiple tasks across domains, thus making helpdesk management far simpler for the administrator.

Allowing helpdesk technicians to make a number of changes across multiple domains does not reduce the control and security that administrators have over their Active Directory implementations. With the new version of ManageEngine ADManager Plus, administrators can restrict the access of a helpdesk technician to particular groups, ensuring more critical groups cannot inadvertently be harmed. Further, this software release also includes template-based helpdesk control, ensuring a delegated task is carried out in a specific, pre-defined way, and restricting the access of helpdesk technicians to particular templates only as allowed by the administrator.

"ADManager Plus has helped us define access limits for users and also monitor their actions; a critical activity for any financial enterprise like us," said Zolt an Faluvegi, Vice President, MSCI Barra, a provider of investment decision support tools to investment institutions worldwide.

"One advantage of using ADManager Plus is that the technician's rights are assigned only within the product and do not translate into the same rights within Active Directory itself," said Manikandan Thangaraj, product manager, ManageEngine ADManager Plus. "Like our previous releases, it does not modify or override access rights in the native Active Directory. It is also easy to track each and every change a helpdesk technician initiates."

Pricing and Availability:

ManageEngine ADManager Plus is available now for download from the ManageEngine website at http://www.manageengine.com/admanagerplus. Pricing starts at US$495 for 1 Domain (Unrestricted Objects) with 2 helpdesk technicians. A 30-day trial with full functionality is also available for evaluation.

About ManageEngine

ManageEngine is the leader in low-cost enterprise IT management software. There is one incident in my life which certainly made me to think twice on the approach I have to a service provider.

It was my Sister's marriage day and I did buy three pairs of trousers .I felt that the trousers were very long and hence I wanted to get them altered. I had been getting my clothes stitched by a tailor since my childhood days and obviously felt he was the man for me to get my trousers altered to fit me.

Everything was fine until then, the tailor had altered all my 3 pairs of trousers and also given it to me well ahead of my sister's marriage.

It was my sister's marriage day Today and the time to wear my new pair of trousers .I removed one neatly ironed trouser from the cupboard and pulled them on, to my surprise, shock and bewilderment I found that the trousers were well 2 to 3 inches short and felt to me like ¾(three quarter length)of a pant. I got a bit upset at looking at my new pair of trousers becoming useless and that too at a crucial moment. Luckily I had the other two still left in the cupboard so I thought let me try them at least. But ! the tailor had spared none I was left with no option now. What do I do now?

With all fuss and mindless thinking cursing the tailor for what he had done I had to wear an older pant to attend my Sister's marriage. The marriage went on really fine but my thoughts were filled with how to blast the tailor who has done such a grave crime towards me. How could he do this to me. Every 10 minutes I think of the trouser along comes the tailor into my mind. I was now almost preparing essays in my mind with add ons every ten minutes on blasting the tailor.

All formalities were over and my sister was sent to the bride's home .That night I went in to check if the tailor was present. It was already 10 in the night and so the shop was closed. I returned home with further anger and disgust now cursing the tailor on my way back “he is a real cheat , i should not have given him my trousers at all, 3 trousers at the same time how horrible it was for me to digest each pair of trousers costing me more than Rs.500 each all the way getting spoiled just for an additional 3 inches reduction in length. My mind was now thinking evil and that night all thoughts swelled into my dreams.

The next day was a Sunday and I knew the shop should obviously be closed. So I let the wrath reside in me waiting for it to explode the next day. That night it was around 9 PM I was on a walk and as I was walking towards the bus stand I met the tailor who was returning home from wherever I did not ask him. This man was unaware of what had happened so far until I exploded at him explaining the embarrassment I felt on my sister's marriage and the grave crime he had done towards my trousers. As I was fully geared up with whatever I had to speak, without keeping anything in store!!! I did blast him away. I was careful enough not to speak harsh words but made a point on the anger and disgust I felt was well received by the tailor.

The poor man should not have taken up my trousers to make an alteration on the first hand. The tailor who was of the age of around 40 kept his cool and listened to me patiently on whatever I had to say. He was very polite with me and asked me to bring the trousers to his shop immediately and that he wished to examine the same. Being a Sunday I knew the shop was on a leave and hence I told him we could make it up tomorrow at his shop. However the tailor insisted that I bring those trousers immediately to his shop and unwillingly I did oblige.

I hurried home and brought back the 3 pairs of trousers. In the mean time the tailor had kept his shop well open and waited for me to come back. It took me some 5 minutes to reach his shop and on entering the shop I hurriedly showed off the trousers to the tailor. The man did get the trousers, but to my surprise did not examine them. He kept them on his iron box table and asked me to sit for a moment. Now that I am satisfied that I have exploded against the culprit I did abide by him and took a seat just beside the table where the man stood.

The man had kept his cool all this long and even now looked more composed. He took one of the trousers in his hand and just on examining it, he did realize that what I have told was true but also did find that Out of mere frustration I did exaggerate the incident to greater proportions.

There was silence all round at this time of the night and me exhausted after the bashing given by me and still angry over the tailor was staring at him for an answer. The man did give me an answer which he made me feel bad on how much I reacted to a small incident.

What was my fault I did the right thing, the tailor made a mistake and was due for his bashings which I did on expected lines. Hope most people agree on my act as normal and perfectly human. The tailor did agree that it was his mistake and will try his level best to rectify the flaw in the trousers. On my way back after this response and handing over my trousers to him for alteration the man questioned me was IF I WAS SATISFIED NOW on Blasting him and without giving me time to respond he continued

“I understand your trousers are worth Rs.500 each and also I did cutoff an additional 2 inches making it not so usable by you for which I feel sorry but by any means those trousers are always affordable by you any time”
“I had been stitching clothes for you since your child hood and never once have you encountered such a flaw by me till date“
“Just with this single mistake do you think I have done something to disgrace you 'OR' do I have any personal vengeance on you to loose a valuable customer like you”
“You could have very well told the same in a better way why was it that you had to blast me so badly as if I had committed the most grave crime against you”

With these lines suddenly something struck my mind and made me rethink was that bashings really necessary or as the man said A better way was there.
I Left home just recollecting the sequence of events occured and the tailor's words lingering in my mind and thinking within how hurt the man would have felt

Everyone who have gone through this article should have had similar experiences sometime or the other some where in your life. Is it that I should have handled the event even better or whatever I did was perfectly right. Leave it for you to comment.

“I feel my act was one of total immaturity and feel bad on such a behavior even today" that event has an everlasting impact on me when I come across a fault doer I do react but Now I think twice before whatever I react.

Your comments on the article are most welcome..............

Managing Active Directory Groups in Bulk looks interesting

I am Interested in Active Directory and am concerned about how system administrators find it a demanding task to manage their windows Active Directory. I find ADManager Plus to be a good software to help with ADManagement , Reporting, Auditing compliance and SelfService Requirements.
ManageEngine ADManager Plus Enterprise Software Now Simplifies Management of Bulk Groups in Microsoft Active Directory

ManageEngine, makers of a globally renowned suite of cost effective network, systems & security management software solutions, today announced the release of ADManager Plus version 4.3, enhancing the popular Active Directory management and reporting solution by adding the ability to easily create and modify multiple Active Directory Groups.
Administrators use Active Directory groups to assign network and systems access rights to multiple users simultaneously, as opposed to individually configuring user accounts. Unfortunately, when using native Active Directory tools, configuring groups and assigning various group attributes becomes a complex procedure involving numerous steps. Furthermore, once created, groups need to be maintained to ensure users have access to all appropriate resources as the IT infrastructure evolves, while also guarding against security vulnerabilities that may arise. As the number of groups in the enterprise increases, so too does the management complexity and risk for mistake.

ManageEngine ADManager Plus version 4.3 centralizes and automates much of this work across not just a single group, but now across multiple groups. Through a single, central console, IT administrators can add (from a CSV file) or remove multiple group members, define multiple attributes and configure exchange attributes across multiple groups in the enterprise. ADManager Plus also offers more than 100 reports out-of-the-box, including security reporting, which allows administrators to analyze group permission levels, an important part of network security assessments.

"ADManager Plus has helped us identify the groups and group policy objects that have not been used. We simply have to generate the reports to get all these details," said Ronald Stoffels, Medewerker Server Cluster, Back Office ICT Services. "Moreover I found ADManager Plus to be the best amongst all the other tools I tested."

"The new group management capabilities within ADManager Plus version 4.3 make this application even more valuable to IT administrators in the larger enterprises," said Manikandan Thangaraj, product manager, ADManager Plus. "We'll continue to provide management solutions that simplify and secure the largest computing infrastructures, without requiring customers to spend millions of dollars or take months to install."

ManageEngine ADManager Plus version 4.3 can be downloaded directly from the website www.admanagerplus.com. A 30-day trial with full functionality is available for evaluation. One can always question how is that 20 people were able to overpower the mighty structures of Taj Mahal or the Trident. It is really sad to know that 20 terrorists were able to kill 155 innocent lives.

I don't deny that there should be strict security measures to be followed and proper preventive measures taken by the Government. Unprecedented attacks are the instances to bring out the courage within you.

When I find a terrorist shooting at a group of people just at point blank with the Gun Pointing at me how do I react?. What am I going to do? A terrorist does not know the value of your life or mine. All he wants is to create a fear in our minds and overpower us with the fear factor alone.

When do we become resilient to fight against them as individuals even before expecting an outside help. One has to realize that if he can sacrifice his life for a 50 others surrounding him, He must do so fighting.

If the above cannot be the best solution why don't there be a subject in our curriculum which teaches on how to behave under a terror attack. How he as an individual should behave. What are the places to search to hide from the attacker if possible. Hw to determine escape routes. How to ???? you can add it to the list the other important steps to follow on Terror attack.

My humble request to the Government authorities and those who frame the academic syllabus to include this as a Workshop or a subject which is taught at every level of schooling or college. With this one can be prepared for the rainy(bloody) day.

This is just one suggestion please add your own if you have any

franklin templeton New Fund Offer

Franklin India High Growth Opportunities Fund

Growth style of investing could provide relatively higher returns in a fast growing economy like India (albeit with more volatility).

The combination of top-down and bottom up analysis helps in identifying the fastest growing companies in terms of earnings and sales, amongst the various sectors benefiting from India's economic growth.

Investors with the appropriate risk profile can benefit from Franklin’s experience of identifying growth companies for over 12 years across market cycles.

A high growth strategy is complementary to a core equity portfolio.

call me to make your investment today

D.Ashok kumar,9841316494,mail me :ashok_prod03@rediffmail.com
